We host high-impact events, run SF's first-ever all-women's AI-focused hacker house, run fellowship programs, and pitch competitions that support women in AI. Our partners and speakers include execs from MIT, IBM, VC firms, and top startups, and we have been recognized for our impact and thought leadership by esteemed publications like the Wall Street Journal, Le Monde, and NY Mag.

We know that it is imperative for the genius and perspectives of women to be equitably included in AI's trajectory in order to ensure public safety and a brilliant future where AI enhances the human experience. That's why we are dedicated to ensuring women leaders across verticals that touch AI have the psychologically safe spaces, community, resources, connections, and opportunities they need to succeed and make a meaningful mark in the space. This year so far we have hit exciting milestones like launching operations in Boston, and one of the highest priorities in the next phase of our strategic roadmap is to become an always-on community with our own platform!

Role & Project Basics:

Timeline: ~6 weeks+ | Location: Remote or SF Bay Area | Stipend: Amount dependent on fundraising - could be awarded retroactively; CTO pathway for the right candidate

Deadline: Beta launch target August 22 to launch at our widely anticipated Women in AI Pitch Competition at the Silicon Valley Bank Experience Center in San Francisco. You will have the opportunity to showcase and take credit for your work to top VC's and startup founders at this incredible event, where the app you build will gain early users and feedback to improve with the next iteration.

Were Oasis Collective, a women-founded nonprofit thats redefining what it means to build and lead in the age of AI. We host sold-out events in San Francisco and Boston with leading AI experts, investors, and foundersand now were building the app to match.

Were hiring one exceptional software engineer or self-taught builder with the necessary developer or vibe coding skills (open to student, recent grad, or entrepreneurial spirit with the skills necessary) to build the beta version of the Oasis App a digital space for founders, VCs, and technologists in AI to connect, collaborate, and rise together.

• User profiles for founders, investors, and technologists
• Forums & community features for posting, replying, and engaging
• Job board & housing board to support career and relocation needs
• (Bonus) AI-powered matching for cofounder discovery & VC-founder fit
• Admin interface and scalable architecture

Youll work closely with our founder & CEO who, in addition to her work with Oasis, is a Silicon Valley big tech management consultant, organizational dynamics expert, researcher with published work at Penn, and AI ethicist. our design/product advisors, and potentially a former CTO. Well support your creativitybut youll have real ownership.

• A student or recent grad from a top university (MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, etc.) or with equivalent experience; good fit if your goal is to become a startup CTO but need an experience under your belt to add to your credibility and help get you there
• Strong builder instinctsyou can ship MVPs fast but thoughtfully
• Fluency in full-stack development or excellent vibe coding (frameworks flexible: React, Next.js, Firebase, Supabase, etc.)
• Bonus: experience with GenAI tools, LLMs, or no-code/low-code platforms

• Your work will launch. This isnt a side projectits our communitys platform. This is an amazing opportunity to build a product and be involved in the development process end-to-end, but with a head start. We have already refined a feature roadmap, conducted preliminary user interviews, and discussed fundraising with VC's and startup banking leaders, BUT that doesn't mean that the vision can't be shifted by your ideas - we are open to how your creativity and knowledge can improve feature decisions, design, and more.
• Get in early. Youll be at the ground floor of a fast-growing dual-enterprise organization thats deeply networked in tech and VC.
• CTO potential. Were looking for a future leader. Do great work and youll be seriously considered to stay on. We currently have an opening for a new CTO, but are taking our time to choose the best fit possible - could be you!
