This Position reports to: Quality and Operational Excellence Manager In this role, you will work within the Electrification Solutions Group to manage the Engineering and support services for the integration of electrical equipment into E-Houses. The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-onsite This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Houston, TX or Mebane, NC. You will be mainly accountable for: Acting as a technical lead and approving design deliverables. Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions and seeking customer feedback to drive improvements. Maintaining close contact with customers and project participants to identify and resolve issues and seek additional business opportunities. Ensuring timely contract completion, customer satisfaction, and desired financial return. Planning, monitoring, coordinating, and executing complex engineering tasks including technical and quality targets established by ABB, vendors, and the customer. Developing and managing an engineering project plan, design reviews, and approvals between ABB, vendors, subcontractors, and the customer. Developing status reports and adjusting plans or schedules as necessary to meet contract parameters. Monitoring subcontractor performance to ensure fulfillment of commitments. Supervising, planning, and participating in Factory Acceptance Tests with the customer and ABB units. Identifying and resolving issues that may hinder work progress or payment, to ensure successful project completion and payment. Qualifications for the role: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 5 years relevant experience in electrical power systems and project engineering Knowledge of medium and low voltage switchgear, protections, control, and automation, especially in Power Distribution Centers Working knowledge of IEEE/ANSI, NEMA, NETA, API, PIP standards Knowledge of NEC, NESC, and other relevant codes Will offer sponsorship More about us: ABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates efficient and reliable power distribution, protection, and control, focusing on power quality and grid resilience.
