About Cardiac Cath Lab: 

 

Interventional cardiology testing. Faced paced department that at times addresses critically ill patients.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days 
• Experience :
  • Min of 2 years in Cath Lab or Critical Care 
  • Must be comfortable with providing sedation and monitoring patient's vital signs during procedures. Team work is a must.
• Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or can be obtained within 90 days
  • NOTE: one or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe 
• Other: Must reside within a 30 min radius of Mercy Jefferson as an on call requirement

 

PRN Requirements:

• Must work 36 hours in a 6-week period
• 1/3 shifts have to be a weekend shift
• Holiday Requirement: 1 winter and 1 summer holiday
