Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Gas Fireplace Technician to join our team. As a technician, you will be responsible for performing basic services, diagnostics, and repairs on gas fireplaces at customers' residences. You will have access to a company van and tools, and you will use our company app on your phone to manage your schedules, log jobs, and complete transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Job Management: Log into the company app daily to accept and schedule jobs, ensuring timely arrival to customer locations.
• Customer Interaction: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, setting a positive tone for service visits.
• Area Preparation: Set up and protect work areas by covering floors and necessary spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Tool Management: Carry and manage a tool bag weighing 40-50 lbs, equipped for diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintenance, Diagnostics & Repair: Perform prescribed maintenance service, diagnostics to identify problems with gas fireplaces and execute necessary repairs.
• Customer Communication: Clearly communicate identified issues and proposed solutions to customers, obtaining approval for any repairs and associated charges.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct final tests on fireplaces to ensure repairs and services have been successfully completed to company standards.
• Transaction Processing: Collect payments from customers and accurately record transactions in the company app.
• Communication with Office Manager: including but not limited to; billing, scheduling, additional customer communications and estimates needed for customers.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the company van, replenishing supplies as needed to ensure job readiness and informing the office of special-order parts needed.
• Clean-Up: Ensure work areas are left clean and orderly upon job completion.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in gas fireplace maintenance and repair is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry tools and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable using smartphone apps and technology for scheduling and transaction management.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
