About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Sales Director to lead a team in the commercial launch and promotion of its novel therapeutics. The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring and leading a team of first-line leaders and sales specialists, developing regional business strategies, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales goals. This role requires a working leader with a player/coach mentality, adept at field-based activities, and with a strong focus on high-value regional accounts and local thought leader relationships. The Executive Sales Director will be expected to have a deep understanding of the product and disease state, and to display a high level of collaboration, clinical acumen, and a patient-centric mindset. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, with at least 15 years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical, or related sales experience, and a proven track record of success in a similar role. The role demands a candidate with the ability to create and execute comprehensive business plans, lead successful sales teams, and demonstrate a high level of initiative, accountability, and ethical conduct. A background in a relevant disease state, local experience, and access to regional thought leaders are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative, working leader mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence in a virtual setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and the role involves significant travel, with up to 50% overnight.
