We are seeking an experienced and technically advanced penetration tester to join our Critical Infrastructure Assessment Team. This team is responsible for evaluating the security posture of networks, applications, embedded systems, and physical devices that support essential operations across regulated and high-availability environments.

This is a remote-first role with occasional on-site requirements for physical or hardware testing. If you are located in or near Chicago, IL, your application will receive favorable consideration, as in-person collaboration is sometimes necessary for specialized scopes.

Our projects go beyond routine vulnerability scansthey require thoughtful exploitation, creative problem solving, and a deep understanding of how systems interact within critical infrastructure ecosystems. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively across complex environments, often blending application, network, and device-layer attack paths.

• 3+ years of professional (employed) penetration testing experience, including real-world exploit development and assessment delivery.
• 2+ years of client-facing consulting experience, ideally in regulated or high-risk environments.
• Strong understanding of operating system internals and security hardening (Windows and/or Linux).
• Deep familiarity with network architectures, protocol behavior, and segmentation testing.
• Solid foundation in software development or computer science, enabling source code review, binary analysis, or test harness development.
