Job Description

Coordinator, Partnerships

Description

Concordia is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, member-based organization dedicated to actively fostering, elevating and sustaining cross-sector partnerships for social impact. As the preeminent nonpartisan forum and the largest event that is taking place alongside the United Nations General Assembly, the Concordia Annual Summit in New York convenes top influencers and decision makers through action-oriented programming and smaller gatherings around the world to explore the role of regional affairs in international relations. By providing an international platform, Concordia's convenings elevate unique cross-sector perspectives and identify the international community's support.

With oversight of the entire Concordia community, the Partnerships Department manages the organization's Programming Partners, Programming Sponsors, and Individual and Patron Members. Working closely with these individuals and organizations regularly, the department curates topical content to amplify important initiatives, identify partnership opportunities, support early-stage partnership design and implementation, and deepen collaboration across sectors, industries, and geographies.

  • Prepares the team, takes notes in external meetings, partner events, roundtables, and workshops, and executes other forward-facing roles to support Concordia's engagement strategies and relationship development.
  • Supports onboarding of Programming Partners and Sponsors for Concordia events, including assisting with creating bespoke engagement strategies, thought leadership opportunities, and communication plans.

  • Operations

  • Ensuring consistency of data entry and management practices within Salesforce.
  • Facilitating team-wide data reviews when applicable and clearly communicating the goals/responsibilities of such reviews to the team members participating.
  • Acting as an intermediary between the rest of the Partnerships Team and the CRM Manager.
  • Determining which data types to track, where (e.g., Salesforce vs. spreadsheet trackers) and ensuring those locations are effectively connected.
  • Implements operational processes and task management systems for managing sponsor relationships (e.g., onboarding).
  • Monitors the development and progress of sponsor relationships and liaises with Concordia team members to maintain effective tracking in Salesforce.
  • Assists with regular scheduling for the Senior Manager of the Partnerships team.

You Have:

  • An undergraduate degree or 1-2 years of relevant work experience in administrative assistance or sales/business development,
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to write for diverse audiences.
  • Experience using Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
  • An ability to work on a flexible schedule, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate up, down, and across all levels of the organization.
  • Great interpersonal skills with a sense of humor and drive to do an excellent job.

You Are:

  • A strong collaborator with the ability to navigate internal and external relationships toward a commonly defined goal or outcome.
  • Deadline-oriented and calm under pressure.
  • Able to take initiative, assume responsibility, and respond flexibly to changing demands.
  • Understanding that Concordia is a global organization with partners worldwide, you are willing to accommodate time zones and work schedules for special projects and events.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a keen eye for the organization's success.
  • Willing to travel at times.
